I strongly believe the government should crack down on parents who smoke in their car, at home or infront of their children.
If you are a parent or childcare provider you should not smoke. As a Nanny Agency I would be horrified if any nanny smoked in front of a child. Many parents seem oblivious to both the physical and mental implications smoking can have on a child.
The physical implication are, the child becomes a passive smoker and is at risk of developing Asthma or other respiratory problems. Mentally your child sees you as their hero (role model), watching and wanting to be just like you. By smoking in front of your child you make it 'cool' and acceptable.
Parents should protect their children not put them in danger, by smoking you are putting your child at risk.
