Goverment Offering Parenting Classes

The government new idea to offer Parenting Classes is a brilliant idea. As a professional childcare provider, we are trained on how to care and educate children. I really on my knowledge and 10 childcare experience to provide high quality childcare.

For a new parent, bringing your child home from hospital and being responsible for child who's only means of communication is to cry, can be a very scary and daunting process. I feel that all first time parents, regardless of class or ethnic background should be give parenting classes. The classes should be free and be offered at key stages of the child's development e.g. New born, Toddlers and Pre-school.  The classes should be made compulsory for all parents.

The course content should include

Newborn Course

  • Nappy changing
  • Feeding
  • Sleep routine
  • Weaning
  • First Aid
  •

Toddler Course (Children Aged 2)

  • Behavior management
  • Toilet training
  • Ideas for craft and play activities
  • Diet and exercise
  • First Aid

Pre-school Course (children Aged 3)

  • Phonics
  • Reading books together
  • Ideas for craft, cooking and play activities
  • Diet and exercise
  • First Aid

The classes would provide a support networking for all parents, one of the worst feelings as a parent is thinking your child is the only one who: won't eat or sleep or throw tantrum. By speaking to other parents, can put your mind at ease, share ideas and tips and boosts your confidence.
